About the Department
Education in the fields of Criminology and Forensic Science was felt essential considering the increasing need for the studies on understanding criminal behavior, crime prevention, victim assistance, enriching law enforcement in the understanding of contemporary forms of crimes. Considering it Criminology and Forensic Science courses were introduced in Dr.MGRERI during 2021 in coordination with CoEDF. From the commencement of the courses, it attracted good strength. Dr.MGRERI and CoEDF strives to offer indiidualised attention to the students in giving the quality teaching both theory and practicals. The classes are handled by eminent faculties and industry experts. Some of them are given below:
Center of Excellence in Digital Forensics has its strength in its qualified and quality faculties who are specialized in Criminology, Forensic Science, Digital Forensics and Information Security. Apart from regular faculties, CoEDF has eminent law enforcement officials, forensic scientists, criminologists and law professors as visiting faculties and also guest faculties from industries. The courses are offered under the Department of Criminology and Forensic Science under the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science.
