Wipro Mission 10X
The first Mission10x workshop was held from Aug 8 to12, 2011
About the Workshop
Mission10x, an initiative of Wipro has teamed up with academia in pursuit of excellence in engineering education through innovation. Mission10x has covered 1000 engineering colleges and 16000 faculty spanning across the country to bring a change in the way engineering is being taught and learnt. Most teaching in our country happens through the chalk and board method which has limitations. To make the engineering students get readily absorbed by the industry the understanding of the students need to be improved and make them truly learn the subject. A change needs to be brought in this area by making improvement in the way the subjects are being taught to make complex concepts easier for students to understand. Mission10x has helped address this gap.
The Mission10x workshop facilitated engineering faculty through innovative teaching techniques and assist in the effective usage of Tools, Techniques & Technology. The new learning approach focused on
The Mission10x workshop facilitated engineering faculty through innovative teaching techniques and assist in the effective usage of Tools, Techniques & Technology. The new learning approach focused on
- Learning by interacting and integrated actions.
- Innovation and competence building in Teaching – Learning.
- Moving away from the teacher – centered pedagogy and placing learner at the centre of the educational discourse.
This pedagogy would help learners
- Imbibe higher levels of understanding of subjects.
- Effectively apply the concepts learnt.
- Develop key behavioral skills required for employability.
The workshop provided a platform for faculty members to share their experiences and encouraged peer learning. As recognition Mission10x provided an opportunity to the faculty to acquire “Mission10x Dale carnegie certificate in higher impact teaching skills”.
The committed faculty will propagate their innovative thoughts on teaching – learning across the student community with the objective of building employability skills in them.
